The co-work club

Are you a creative, freelancer or small business owner who’s missing company, community and coffee?

Me and Natasha @weekdayagency were... so we decided to launch a new co-working community - the co-work club.

It started life in March as a series of virtual co-working sessions. We worked in sprints of 25 minutes (which is said to be the optimum time for focus - according to the pomodoro technique), broken up with conversation, sharing goals, and coffee breaks. We started this as a chance to connect and meet fellow creative freelancers, founders and business owners - and help beat wfh isolation.

Since then almost 50 people have been involved and collectively we’ve done nearly 200 hours of work in the club!

We’ve built an amazing community and really great connections have been forged (we know about at least four new work opportunities / connections that have already arisen from the club, but there could be many more). It’s also been a supportive and nurturing space for self-employed people to come together, share their experiences and get support from other people in a similar position.

Our co-work sessions are currently on hiatus as things open back up and lots of people struggle to fit everything in, but we are working hard to bring a physical co-work event to life. We know that community, connection and support can be invaluable for small businesses. We hope to facilitate IRL co-working, networking and possibly training for the small business community in Oxfordshire.

You might work for yourself, but you are not alone.
